Towards Equal Foundation (TEF) is privileged to extend its support towards a cause that touches lives with dignity, compassion, and care, the establishment of the St. John’s Geriatric Centre (SJGC) in Bangalore.
The St. John’s Geriatric Centre is a standalone, state-of-the-art facility located within the campus of St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Koramangala, dedicated to the holistic care of the elderly and patients in need of palliative and hospice care. Built with the vision of addressing India’s growing need for specialized geriatric services, the centre symbolizes compassion blended with excellence in healthcare.
With a capacity of 150 beds, the SJGC is designed to provide both medical and emotional support to senior citizens and those facing life-limiting illnesses. This initiative has been made possible through the generous contributions of individuals and organizations committed to eldercare. The facility represents not only infrastructure but also a philosophy of care, embracing chronic care management, palliative medicine, and hospice services under one roof.
TEF’s Contribution
In line with its mission to promote equality and dignity in healthcare, Towards Equal Foundation is honored to support the establishment of two significant facilities at the Centre:
The General Ward on the First Floor – designed to provide affordable care and comfort to elderly patients.
The Palliative Medicine and Hospice Care Unit on the Sixth Floor – a specialized wing offering compassionate care for patients with advanced illnesses, ensuring dignity and relief in their most vulnerable moments.
